Von der Leyen calls for establishment of European Security Council in annual speech

The European Union will quickly have to become independent and take care of its own security. That is what European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen says. In her annual speech, she calls for the establishment of a European Security Council. The EU would work together with countries such as Canada, the United States.
