Deportation project: 72 journalists investigate US treatment of migrants

Under secretive deals with countries across Africa and Latin America, the Trump administration has deported thousands of migrants to countries they had never previously visited. Of the 25,000 deportations documented by reporters, the vast majority were sent across the border to Mexico. One of the journalists who investigated the story, Sofía Álvarez Jurado, explains how these people are forced across the borders to Mexico and what happens to them once they arrive.
